DancingAndy and Dancers 'Joyful Dance' Piazza Performances & Workshops

Piazza Performances (5.1.2025)

Andy Wong, together with professional dancers, inclusive dance groups, special school students, and individuals with different abilities, will hold two dance performances at Piazza C of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre to showcase the inclusiveness of art and promote inclusion in art to the public.  Free admission.

Workshops (4.1.2025)

Through three workshops, companions/families of students with special needs, teaching staff, and the general public will be able to experience the charisma and possibilities of art education while dancing.  The three workshops will be conducted in Cantonese.  Admission is free upon registration.  Interested parties may register here.  The deadline for registration is 31 December 2024.

Theme:Teacher Training (Capacity: 30 participants)
Provide training for staff of all special schools in Hong Kong, enabling them to learn how to dance with students with special needs, develop their potential, showcase their artistic talents, and continue to excel in art.

Target : Teachers and staff of special schools
(Duration: around 1 hour 30 minutes)

Workshop 2

Theme: Stress Relief (Capacity: 30 participants)

By learning dance and various stretching methods, help parents reduce the pressure of daily life and caring for their children, and also expand their social circle through the workshop.  Using dance to support parents' emotional needs, finding emotional outlets, and learning how to establish non-verbal expression and communication with children through dance.

Target : Family members and companions of children with special needs

Theme: Understanding Inclusion (Capacity: 30 participants)

Through case sharing and an exhibition, deepen the understanding of people with special needs in society, and help people understand that everyone is different, yet we can still get along and live in harmony.  The workshop also includes a dance session, allowing participants to try using dance instead of language to express themselves.
