M13a | Fun Science Exploration 2024 (For Primary and Secondary Schools) (Completed)
Teachers can select activities according to the interest of their students and freely guide them through the exhibits in the Museum.
*Activity 1: Science Demonstration (Compulsory)
Laboratory in Chaos
Dr. Crazy of Science Museum will perform various breathtaking experiments such as hydrogen explosion and fireball blowing! Are you bold enough to accept the mission?
*Activity 2: Science Excursion
Docents will guide students through the exhibits in a designated gallery, offering explanations to help them discover the underlying science.
*Activity 3: Exploration Activity (Suitable for P.4-P.6 students)
October to December: Optics Wonderland
Through a series of optical experiments, students can learn about the concepts and properties of light and colour, including light spectrum, seven colours of light, and three primary colours. They can also develop a deeper understanding of how individuals with colour blindness perceive the world.
January to February: Amazing Electricity & Magnetism
Students can learn the science of electricity and magnetism by conducting a series of experiments such as bicycle generator, lemon battery and electromagnet.
March: Visible Sound
Through different experiments, students can understand how sound is produced, how fast it travels, and how to play music with resonance.
May to July: Newton's Laws of Motion
Newton's laws of motion are closely related to our daily lives. Let's test them out.
*Activity 4: Science Workshop
Our workshop will introduce scientific knowledge through interactive games, engaging demonstrations, and specimen examination.
*The activities have quotas, which are available on a first come, first served basis. Programmes are subject to change without prior notice. The staff of the Hong Kong Science Museum will inform the participating schools about the activity arrangement nearer the time.
