M14d | Discovery of Military Relics in Lyemun Fort (Completed)

Lyemun occupies a strategic position guarding the eastern approach to Victoria Harbour, where the narrowest watercourse between Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula is located.  In view of its strategic value, Lyemun Fort was built on a headland overlooking Lyemun Pass.  Through visiting Lyemun Pass and different checkpoints on the Lyemun Fort Historical Trail, students can have a better understanding of Hong Kong's strategic position in the coastal defence during successive dynasties in China, and learn more about the historical development and military arrangements of Lyemun Fort.
