M06d | Tomb in the City: Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb Museum
(Completed)

The Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb was discovered in 1955 when the Hong Kong Government was levelling a hill slope for the construction of resettlement buildings at Lei Uk Village and Cheng Uk Village.  Based on the overall structural layout, inscriptions on the bricks and other nearby finds, it is believed that the tomb was built in the Eastern Han dynasty.  Docents will introduce the geographical circumstances, discoveries, tomb structure and the artefacts associated with the tomb, so as to let students learn more about the socio-cultural characteristics of South China.
