About the Programme 

Papa is My New Classmate is a family-friendly tap theater.  Actors will bring audiences together to reminisce about the joy and bitterness of childhood, and moments of family memories.  Through tap dance and laughter, a heartfelt story unfolds.

Victoria, ensnared in her overbearing mother Maddy to become an elite, finds her world crumbling under the weight of a suffocating study schedule.  One day, Victoria stumbles into a tap dance class, where rhythm ignites her spirit. She discovers her passion for tap dance.  In a heartfelt attempt to rekindle her smile, Bitter, her father who has never danced, bravely joins her in this unexpected dance of joy.

About the Arts Group

R&T is an active professional tap dance company based in Hong Kong to promote and develop the art of tap dance.  Through its professional productions, school tours, community promotions, workshops, etc., R&T aims at increasing the exposure of tap dance to local audiences so as to deepen their knowledge of this particular dance form.  The dance company is committed to developing tap dance as one of the local mainstream dance forms and creating different styles of tap dance productions, so as to enrich and diversify the artistic lives of local audiences and to spread the fun of dancing.  Putting the concept of popularizing the arts into practice, R&T intends to explore all capabilities of the art of dancing and to response to the society.
