About the Programme 

Soul of Shaolin blends stage artistry with Chinese martial arts, featuring elite disciples from the renowned Henan Provincial Shaolin Wushu Center.  The performance showcases spectacular displays of Shaolin kungfu, incorporating Zen boxing, qigong practice, and various weaponry.  It tells the spectacular story of a boy who grows up practising martial arts at the temple, and being taught the true spirit of Shaolin martial arts: winning people over with virtue.  After its sold-out Broadway debut in 2009, the production received nominations for Tony Award and Drama Desk Award.

About the Artist

Henan Provincial Shaolin Wushu Center was established in 1988 and is affiliated with the Culture and Tourism Department of Henan Province.  Its performing troupe consists of over 200 Shaolin disciples and has been invited to perform in more than 80 countries and regions, gaining popularity among audiences both domestically and internationally.
