Summer Family Cine Fest 2025 - Fabulous Films Celebrating Vibrant Summer 

The Film Programmes Office has specially selected two highly acclaimed movies this year: Big Dreams and The Amazing Maurice.  These films will kick off this summer holiday with excitement, creating a light-hearted and cheerful atmosphere where students can relax and share laughter, truly enhancing their summer experience! 

Get ready for a summer full of excitement!  This programme offers free student screenings for the Summer Family Cine Fest 2025, a highlight of the International Arts Carnival (IAC). With an array of fantastic films lined up for July and August, students can dive into a lively cinematic adventure all summer long!

The year is 1998.  The Czechs win the gold in Olympic ice hockey and the crowds go wild. All the kids want to be like Jagr or Hašek.  Among them is Dom, an 11 year old dreamer who looks up to his new idol.  Dom and his friend Honza build a hockey team themselves because nobody has faith in them.  After an initial defeat, this team of disparate, underestimated kids are taken over by the peculiar coach Karel, a former major league hockey player, and they gradually head for more challenges.
