PAD05 | Dancer Enrichment for (not so) Dummics by Move In Dance Theatreparent

About the Programme

A team of dancers are ready to stage a dance party, overflow with desires and dreams - on stage, they will delve into regrets, adventures, caprices, and innocence encountered on life's journey through body language, mining the deepest emotions from childhood and expressing them through dance performance.

Seasoned choreographer and dancer Yvette Huang will team up with musician Michael Tang to lead this vibrant feast of dance.  Esteemed dancers and rising stars have been invited to perform together, including Andy Wong.  The performance aims to break the conventional boundaries between audience and performers, facilitating direct communication with the audience through dancers' physical expression.  Besides, games and carefully designed stage elements will be incorporated to frankly present memories and regrets of life.

In the realm of art, many creations rely on public resources, and artists are often questioned whether they create solely to satisfy personal desires.  This performance seeks to reflect on this notion - we hope to demonstrate to the audience that "self-enrichment is not shameful but useful", and it can even be a valuable creative drive.
